Secure Payments, Simplified: Discover Tap-to-Pay
Tap-to-pay is a contactless payment method that allows you to make secure transactions by tapping your card, smartphone, or wearable device on a payment terminal. Unlike swiping or inserting your card, tap-to-pay uses near-field communication (NFC) technology to transmit payment information securely and quickly.
Your card details are never transmitted directly to the merchant when you tap to pay. Instead, the payment is processed using a one-time digital token unique to that transaction. This means that even if a fraudster intercepts the data, it cannot be reused. Additionally, since you never have to hand over your card or input your PIN, the risk of card skimming, or PIN theft is virtually eliminated.
